Enhancing Seen & Unseen Landscapes with Mixed Reality

An intensive four-week residency programme run at NUI Galway in a collaboration between the Moore Institute at NUI Galway and Galway 2020.

The programme, which ran throughout May 2019, was facilitated by internationally renowned Berlin-based School of Machines, Making and Make-Believe and focused on enhancing physical and social landscapes and exploring the potentials of mixed reality with the aim of developing capacity in the creative application of virtual and augmented reality technologies.

On Friday, 31 May Galway 2020 co-hosted a cutting-edge mixed reality exhibition at The Cornstore in Galway City, the exhibition was based on work produced by a mix of the arts research community at NUI Galway, theatre practitioners and visual and digital artists at the Future Landscapes workshop.
